Daniel Gunn (born 27 January 1978) is an Australian former ice hockey player who played with the Melbourne Ice of the Australian Ice Hockey League from 2004-2005 and is a former member of the Australian national ice hockey team. ==Playing career== Gunn first played ice hockey for the Melbourne Demons of the Victorian Junior-C Ice Hockey League in 1987. In 1992 he moved up to the Melbourne Demons' Junior-B before being moved to the Senior-A team in 1996.〔 In 2001 Gunn moved across to the Melbourne Jets of the same league for whom he competed for until the end of the 2003 season. In 2004 Gunn signed with the Melbourne Ice of the Australian Ice Hockey League (AIHL).〔 He competed in only four games in his debut season with the Ice and recorded two assists. The Ice re-signed Gunn for the following season but only played three games.〔 After his two season in the AIHL Gunn returned to play for the Melbourne Demons in the Victorian Senior-A league. He has since retired from ice hockey.〔 Gunn was first called up to represent Australia in 2001 where he joined the national senior team to compete in 2001 IIHF World Championship Division II Group A tournament being held in Majadahonda, Spain. Australia finished third while Gunn scored three points in his five games.〔〔 After a year out of the national team Gunn was recalled in 2003 to compete in the 2003 IIHF World Championship Division II Group A tournament Seoul, South Korea. Australia finished fourth and Gunn scored three assists in his five games for the tournament.〔
